Teacher Sam is a graduate of BS Speech Pathology in UP Manila. As a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist since 2008, Teacher Sam has been helping children diagnosed with Speech and Language Delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Communication Disorder (stuttering, language disorder, speech sound disorder, and social communication disorder), Down Syndrome, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Teacher Sam has previously worked with clients in the hospital and school setting and is currently providing therapy services in the clinic and home-based setting. She is currently The Therapy Room’s Speech-Language Pathology Department Head. She is PROMPT Trained and has attended seminars that included topics such as Speech Sound Disorders and Social Thinking. These continuing education seminars have helped her in handling kids diagnosed with apraxia and creating programs for social skills classes catered to school-age kids and adolescents.

During her free time, Teacher Sam enjoys reading books and seeing the beauty of God's creation through travelling to different places. She wants to pursue further studies on new techniques that can help kids communicate more effectively. She hopes and envisions herself to be more active in endeavors that leads to social awareness and empowering families of persons with disabilities.
