Evangelette Torres-Tizon or Teacher Ayeth as her students fondly call her gained her Occupational Therapy Bachelor’s Degree at University of the Philippines, Manila in 2007. In her more than 10 years of practice, she has devoted her expertise in pediatric population in clinic and school settings. She has undergone trainings and seminars in Developmental Play, Social Thinking, Executive Functioning, and Sensory Integration to name a few. She is currently Therapy Room’s Occupational Therapy Department
Head. She has served different children with special needs ranging from Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Down’s Syndrome, Intellectual Disability, Global Developmental Delay, Speech Delay and other related conditions. She also designs and handles variety of classes with programs focused on Social Thinking, social skills, executive functions, handwriting and school readiness. |
She is an active member of the Philippine Academy of Occupational Therapists since 2007. She also makes time to volunteer in UP-CAMP’s Therafree, free therapy for indigent families. She is an advocate of different support groups such as Autism Society of the Philippines (ASP) and Down Syndrome Society of the Philippines, Inc. (DSAPI). She has participated in various events like Angel’s Walk and Happy Walk.
Teacher Ayeth loves to travel. She is a foodie and likes to cook. She also enjoys an active lifestyle by joining multi-sport events. When her schedule permits, she does running, swimming and biking.
She hopes to continue empowering families by providing talks and seminar in order to educate them. She is determined to update her skills by attending certification courses and seminars to gain knowledge in evidence-based interventions for children with special needs.
